The Viaalink mark: two birds carrying a chain link.

Viaalink Relay

your own tunnel server, with automatic HTTPS

Get a web address. Be reachable from anywhere.

Viaalink Relay publishes what runs on your machine to a real web address on your own domain, with HTTPS.

A Viaalink Relay is the door that gives you an address: one address where people and phones reach what you share, from anywhere across the globe.

Self-hosted. runs on your server, NAS or PC ·  Automatic HTTPS. automatic HTTPS (Let's Encrypt) once your domain points at the Relay

01 / What it does

Everything a Relay does, out of the box.

Eight things every Viaalink Relay does. Each one links to its guide in the docs.

  • Publish with one command

Publish any local web app at its own address under your domain with one command.

    Publishing guide
  • Automatic HTTPS

Every address gets HTTPS from Let's Encrypt on its own. Wildcard certificates work through Porkbun, Cloudflare, Route53, DigitalOcean or GoDaddy.

    DNS and certificates
  • Your own domains

Add your own domains, each with its own certificate choice.

    Certificate per domain
  • Not just websites

Publish SSH, databases and other ports too, or connect machines over a private named link.

    Ports and databases
  • A setup page in your browser

Paste your license, set your domains, users and router, and see which devices are connected.

    The setup page
  • Router ports opened for you

The Relay forwards its own router ports through UPnP or ASUSTOR EZ-Router, and runs as an app on an ASUSTOR NAS.

    Router and NAS guide
  • Calls through firewalls

Calls through firewalls are built in — switch them on with your server's public address.

    Settings for calls
  • Lock links down

Protect an address with a password, let in only approved devices, send invites, or allow and block by IP address or country.

    Access control

02 / How it works

Three steps from your machine to an address anywhere.

Your machine opens an outbound encrypted tunnel to your Viaalink Relay. People and phones reach what you share at a real web address on your own domain, with HTTPS — without opening inbound ports on your office or home router.

1 run a Relay (server, NAS or PC) · 2 point your domain at it · 3 publish anything over an outbound tunnel

01

Run a Relay (server, NAS or PC)

Start Viaalink Relay on a Linux server, a NAS or a PC under your control with Docker or the standalone binary viaalink-relay.

02

Point your domain at it

Get automatic HTTPS (Let's Encrypt) once your domain points at the Relay, so published services get addresses under relay.yourcompany.com.

03

Publish anything — from anywhere

Publish a website, app or office tool from your machine over an outbound tunnel — and carry calls through firewalls for the Viaalink app with via publish 3000.

03 / Get one

Where to run your own Viaalink Relay.

Every Viaalink Relay is self-hosted on a server, NAS or PC under your control.

You need a domain name of your own (for example yourcompany.com) — the Relay gives it addresses like relay.yourcompany.com. A ready-made address from us is not available yet.
